Strategic advisory for small business owners, nonprofit directors,
and social enterprise founders who are ready to move.
A focused 90-minute working session to turn competing priorities into a clear, executable plan. You leave with decisions made and a written action plan within 48 hours.
One focused 90-minute session via Google Meet. You bring the challenge. We surface what matters and build a path you can follow.
Same session, faster turnaround. When your timeline cannot wait for standard scheduling.
Everybody has a dream. The question is not whether you deserve it. The question is whether you can find the next small step toward it.
Virginia SatirI work with people who care deeply, think carefully, and still find themselves stuck - not for lack of intelligence or effort, but because the noise is too loud.
I work with small business owners, nonprofit directors, and social enterprise founders who are doing meaningful work and feeling the weight of it. People who care deeply, think carefully, and still find themselves stuck - not for lack of intelligence or effort, but because the noise is too loud and the path forward isn't clear.
My background spans strategic planning, nonprofit leadership, fundraising, program design, training and facilitation, and business development. I've spent years helping organizations cut through complexity and move forward without losing what makes them worth building in the first place.
The Clarity to Action Session is built on a simple belief: you already have what you need. A structured conversation with the right questions surfaces it. You leave with a plan you built - not one someone handed you.
I'm based in Missoula, Montana. Sessions are via Google Meet and open to clients anywhere.
You don't have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.
Martin Luther King Jr.The session is designed for leaders who are close to their work and need a structured outside perspective to find the next right move.
You're doing the work of three people, navigating board expectations, staff capacity, and funder relationships all at once. You need a decision made, not a longer to-do list.
You are the strategist, the operator, and the closer. When something's not working, it's hard to zoom out. One session can break a stalemate you've been circling for months.
You're trying to build something that works financially and matters in the world. The tension between mission and margin is real. We can work in it together.
A pivot, a new program, a partnership decision, a funding cliff. When the stakes are real and the path is unclear, structured thinking beats circling in your own head.
Not for the exploratory or the ambivalent. The session works best when you have a real decision in front of you and the will to act on what emerges.
Sessions are via Google Meet. Clients in Montana, across the US, and internationally are welcome. (Established for-profit small businesses in Montana: see the referral option on the form.)
This is not therapy, coaching, or a substitute for legal or financial advice. It is not designed for organizations in early crisis without a decision-maker present. If you are not sure whether it is a fit, apply anyway - the brief call before booking will sort it out.
The world needs people who have come alive. Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it.

What you share in a session is confidential. SES does not share client information, session content, or identifying details with any third party. Application information is used solely to determine fit and prepare for your session.
Payment is required to secure your session and calendar hold. Once your brief introductory call confirms fit, you will receive a payment link. Your calendar invitation is sent when payment clears. Installment plans (2 or 4 payments) are available by request and handled by invoice. All payments must be completed at least one month before your session date.
Sessions are non-refundable. One reschedule is available with at least 48 hours notice, within 30 days of your original date. If a future scheduled session cannot be completed, it may be rescheduled once or the fee may be donated to the SES scholarship fund. Donations may receive promotional consideration or may be made anonymously. Requests with less than 48 hours notice forfeit the session.
Sessions are limited to two per week. Quarterly sessions can be scheduled up to 24 months in advance. Each session is independent - no package or retainer required.
Due to existing conflict of interest obligations, established for-profit small businesses in Montana are referred to local resources. Check the box on the application form and we will point you in the right direction.
Depending on fit and timing, SES may also support strategic planning, program design, training and facilitation, event coordination, writing and executive summaries, and fundraising and grant-related work. Reach out to discuss.
SES collects only the information necessary to schedule and conduct your session. It is used solely to deliver services and is never sold or shared with third parties.
If something isn't here, apply anyway and ask on the call.
A consultant typically takes on a project over weeks or months and delivers recommendations. A Clarity to Action Session is one focused conversation. You leave with a plan you built - not one someone handed you. It costs a fraction of a consulting engagement and you can act on it the same week.
Success looks like leaving with a decision made, a clear next step, and a written plan you can actually follow. Most clients arrive having circled the same problem for weeks. One session changes that. What the session guarantees is clarity. What you do with it is up to you.
You will hear back within 48 business hours, Monday through Friday. If it looks like a good fit, we schedule a brief call to confirm the session is right for your situation, answer questions, and agree on a date. Once confirmed, you receive a payment link and a calendar invitation when payment clears.
Priority Scheduling ($1,500) is the same session with a faster turnaround - booked within 48 hours of confirmation and a written summary delivered within 24 hours of the session. It is a good fit when a board decision, funding deadline, or other time-sensitive situation cannot wait for standard scheduling. If you are not sure, check the box on the form and we will sort it out together.
Yes. A four-payment plan of $250/month puts your session approximately five months out from booking. A two-payment plan of $500/month puts it approximately three months out. All payments must be completed at least one month before your session date. Request an installment arrangement when you apply.
A limited number of sessions are available at no cost through a scholarship fund supported by past clients. If cost is a barrier, note it in your application. No explanation needed. Sessions are fulfilled as funds become available - there may be a wait, but if you ask, you are on the list.
Yes. Some clients return when a new decision point comes up. Each session is independent - no package or retainer required. Quarterly sessions can be scheduled up to 24 months in advance.
Yes. Sessions are via Google Meet and open to clients anywhere. The only limitation applies to established for-profit small businesses in Montana, due to existing conflict of interest obligations.
Clarity is not about having all the answers. It’s about knowing which question actually matters right now.

SES Supporters fund scholarship sessions for people doing important work who cannot afford the full advisory fee.
When a client requests a scholarship session, their fee is covered by contributions from past clients and supporters. Sessions are fulfilled as funds become available.
Supporters contribute by donating directly, or by electing to convert an unused future session fee into a scholarship contribution. You do not need to be a past client to become a supporter.
Contributions are not tax deductible as charitable donations - SES is an LLC. However, businesses that receive promotional consideration may qualify their contribution as a business promotion expense. Talk to your accountant.
Anonymous donations are equally welcome. Recognition is entirely optional.
Email [email protected] or note it when you apply. Tell us whether you want public recognition or prefer to remain anonymous.
We will follow up with a payment link. Your contribution is logged and held until a scholarship session is matched.
If you elected promotional consideration, your name or business will be listed here and acknowledged across SES channels.
This section is just getting started.

What we pay attention to grows. Small, collective actions can have massive impact.
